We have been informed by the hotel that the renovation at Coral Strand Hotel is due to complete by the 30th of June
2008 in time for their soft opening on 1st July 2008.
Emphasis on the renovation has been on the public areas, Kitchen, Laundry, Swimming Pool and Restaurant. In addition
they will have a new business centre offering internet facilities amongst other things. Guest Rooms have been upgraded
adding value to their products and services.
The three main restaurants, Mahek, Bistro and Island Trader remain with their traditional a la carte and buffet menus
respectively. The re-launching of the Hotel will also be marked with the opening of a new restaurant where guests will
enjoy an a la carte menu at haute cuisine.

Hotel Le Duc de Praslin has made its final review in regards to its construction progress. All parties concerned including
Architects, Contractor and Owner has given its final decision on the opening date of the Hotel.
Le Duc de Praslin is well underway with its upgrading but are unfortunately not able to open on the 01st August as
planned due to unforeseen technicalities beyond their control.
Le Duc de Praslin will now open in two phases.
All rooms, reception and swimming pool will be ready by 01st September 2008.
All booking will now be on bed and breakfast only for the month of September. Clients will use the beach seafood a la
carte restaurant at “Café des Arts “for breakfast.
The Main Restaurant will open one month after, on 01st October 2008.
For the month of September all bookings will benefit from a 15 % discount and for clients that have booked in August
and have the possibility to change to September will benefit from a 25 % discount.
The Management of Le Duc de Praslin deeply regrets this inconvenience that this have caused to clients booked in August
and hope on our good corporation in reallocating those clients.

Construction at Les Lauriers Guesthouse is still going on and the Hotel manager has advised us that construction should be over by
August 2008.

The work at the Paradise Flycatcher Lodge that was supposed to take place late last year started on 28th November 2007. The work is still not yet completed and they are still using one of the bungalows in the mean time as the reception.
The Hotel Management has told us that there have been no complaints from their in-house clients with regards to the
construction work or noise.

In August 2007, Patatran Village pulled down the old Reception Area to be turned into New Deluxe rooms. The works
has been completed. The three new rooms are now ready .
